Regenerant Catalunya is two things with one name.
The funding round
The first is a participatory funding round that ReFi Barcelona launched in November 2025. Eleven local projects took part. Two local organizations found them and put in the local money: Miceli Social for the rural projects, La Fundició for the urban ones. That money was matched from outside through the Localism Fund. Each project keeps a public record of what it does.
It is ReFi Barcelona’s programme, run by its team of three. The programme site tells it in Catalan, Spanish and English.
The knowledge base
The second is mine, and it is not public yet.
Since September 2026 I have been turning what this work touched into a knowledge base about regenerative practice in Catalonia: the public administrations, the cooperative and commons networks, and five published reports on the ecosocial transition. Every entry is reviewed and carries its source. There is a map by comarca, to answer “what is active where I live?”. It is written in Catalan first.
Why not public? Three things are open: the name, the reuse terms of some sources, and the agreement with the people whose work it draws on. I would rather settle those than publish around them.
